the exoterra balls are large but baby shrimp can hide in the gaps so I guess thats good but what I know about akadama is that it also lowers the ph and many shrimp keepers keep oebts crs/cbs, and taiwans.

Waited quite a bit to set up the tank, but alas I gave up and acquired something else. Perhaps they will have it for next tank set up...In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
