I just came across this and joined, I seen zebra pleco can you get them at a reasonable price, my 12 year old daughter wants these, she has bone cancer and is doing treatments, she is alway in front of her tanks, she really wants some zebras ,but I told her they cost so much,but she doesn't understand that.

There are many zebras that are affordable, it's just the L046 version that's super expensive. See if she's amiable to an L168, which has some striking and contrast-y stripes/bars but the pattern is a little different from the L046.

In the OP he says that he'll get L46 (Zebra Plecos) only with prepayment. They're far too expensive to risk ordering them without prepayment. Reasonable price would be in the triple digits for sure. I would guess about $150(if your extremely lucky) to about $300 per L46? There are alternatives to it that I'm sure she wouldn't mind having. It's called the poor man's zebra pleco lol. I forgot which L number it is though. They somewhat similar to the true L46.

Beat me to it! There's also L333 and L066. Both are about $10-30 for juvies.

L173, L098, L046 are the extremely pricey Zebra plecos with L046 being the cheapest...
