Hey,

Finally got a chance to hunt down your oddball false cory catfish and I think I found the species it is.
Brachyrhamdia imitator
Apparently their target species is Corydoras Melanistus for mimicracy

Here is their page on Planet catfish and their are quite a few different species that are accidentally imported as you'll have an easier time perhaps with a better ID for species.

Saw quite a few adds interested in buying them online as they are rarely noticed and even more rarely offered for sale, as an aside. Thought you guys might like to know

I had spotted 2-3 at HAW schooling with their corydoras and noticed they were not what they looked like and needed to do a bit more research. I had heard of them, but never actually seen one. Its a Pimelod, though they stay far smaller.
