  • Re: Houston Aquarium Warehouse!

Have had business dealings w/ Dan for 4 yrs.+ if memory serves me.

My experience and those of the many I have referred to him have been very positive.    His wife and children have always made us feel welcome when the business was at thier home.

Have been "talked out of" many of the Discus I have purchased as I always knew I could return to him for the same quality.

When I purchased my 300 gallon to replace a 180 gallon tank, Dan and his friend, Daniel came to Magnolia from Sugarland and took one down then setup and aquascaped my 300 gallon.       He did this as friends.        Yes, I know many fish friends that would be so gracious as to help now but that was not the situation at that time.      Those who have seen it know what he created is great.          My many calls trying to prepare for that project I am sure showed I was in need of some help by a friend.    He called to say he was showing up w/help.      All w/ those big tanks can relate to what a relief that was.

My son & his buddies in the Airforce [Florida], personal friends such as Dr Joe Flanaghan [head vet @ Houston Zoo], Charlie Currer[agent for exotic animals for USDA] and the neighborhood kid down the road among many others have all visited/bought from Dan and learned from his passion.

My "dealings" are what make me refer to Dan as he has best represented & backed his product.    Those who have asked me who to go to are always referred to Dan.
If there is a problem go to the source.

i've got one of those itty bitty puffers in the 300g and it has done a great job on the junk snails PLUS eats those pesky eggs from the netrites that many don't care for.    looks like a hummimgbird when it is slurping bloodworms along side the Discus.
may have to get it some buddies.  hehe

keep in mind how tiny the puffer is in such a big tank.   it does not bother any but the trash snails and really not the netrites as not much flesh exposed.   the cherry shrimp have lots of cover and thier numbers seem to hold.   other fish are Discus, Cardinals, Rummynose, Albino B/N, Cories and a couple of Clown Loaches.   there is lots of cover w/ the petried wood and plants.   not shy at all & the kids always hurry to see who can spot it first.

I rairly visit sites about stores on the far side of town and I've been in the Hospital for the last 6 weeks so I missed what was going on here.
Thanks to one of the regulars I was notified of the problem.  (Thanks) But I'd like to think that the rest of you would report it to me rather than let this sillyness go on.

Guys hope you make up and become best fish buddies, but if its  :bsofftopic:  please use the a pm.

He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'
