I CANNOT emphasize how great the customer service is at this store.  Ek and I had an emergency and Dan stayed with us until 12 midnight to help pack some fish for us.  THAT is what you call customer service.  Thanks again DAN.  you ARE the man.  I will probably be back in a few hours to pick up the rest of those tropheus.

By far the BEST LFS I have been to in the Houston area.  I live in The Woodlands, and will not buy fish or plants from anywhere else!!  Dan is MORE than willing to help and share his knowledge and years of experience.  Every time I go, I end up learning something new.  I try to make the 45 mile drive down there once a week to check out the new fish and plants.  If you haven't been by already, take the time to go visit Dan.  It is well worth the time.

As far as fish and plants go; he sells only top quality stuff, and a lot of hard to find fish.  His livestock and equipment prices beat most internet prices, and he will order anything that he doesn't have in stock.  The selection of discus is amazing; way more than any other LFS, much better quality, and cheaper.  I have bought plants, plecos, tetras, and at least 10 discus from Dan, and not had any problems with them that weren't my fault.  More often than not, I end up leaving with more livestock than he charged me for.  On one trip, I bought 20 cardinals @ 10 for $20.00, when I got home and was putting them in the tank, I stopped counting at 55.  I have even had a few "stowaway's" buying discus!  Try geting that ANYWHERE ELSE!!!  He won't sell you anything that he wouldn't buy and that isn't top quality.

In the end Dan goes above and beyond any other LFS to take care of his customers, make sure they know and understand everything about the fish, and to offer excellent prices on awesome fish!!

i whole heartedly agree with you with what you said about Dan....he's very very nice and does take care of his customers with great effort on his part.....the fishies that i have gotten from there are magnificent...and those discus...well one would only have to go there to see how magnificent they are.....

Dan is the man as far as LFS's are concerned....

Found myself in West Houston today and took the opportunity to stop by HAW.
Dan, appreciate the conversation.  Yes, after keeping fish for 50 years, you still taught me something.  Live Long & prosper.

The place is a little hard to find even with a map, but the stop is worth the effort fellow boxers.
Got the supplies I wanted and some fine fish all at a very reasonable price.

Fellow CAKer,  I now have a Tiger pleco too.

I wanted to tell you thank you Dan. the little pea puffer is now affectionately named (Tiny)....he's in a tank all by hisself for i fear someone mistakening him for a meal.....will let him grow up some first...but thank you so much....and you were right about that grass and the RCS....they love it....went right into it and started hanging out .....thank you so much for everything....and say hello to Gordo for me.....i fell in love with him big time....he's gorgeous.....
