1. His store says they take credit cards. He said he would take my credit card. But when I tried to pay with my credit card, he moved aside to have his partner go into a whining fit about being "afraid" to take a credit card because so many previous customers have done charge backs.

As a result, I would have no receipt for any warrantees. It voided all of the warrantees from the manufacturers. It further alleviated him of any responsibility because I would not have a legal receipt.

I did not ask to do a deal under the table, and he was not being upfront that this is what he was trying to do. He was trying to trick me into it with the sob story of being "afraid" to take a credit card.
