I was trying to be light hearted about it. Moderators please lock this thread and immediately start a special thread where people can compare and contrast stores in the Houston area. Please do one for each combination of two, three or four stores. Don't fret....it should be easy. If you do the math you only have to open an extra 3000 threads or so.  

Seriously though.....I was just wondering if I missed something which caused you to react so harshly. I just hadn't noticed you policing the threads before. And with that, I'm perfectly happy to drop the subject.

Moods - We all have them, I try to remember to be very conservative when it comes to responding to anything written on the net.  Anyone can have a off day and sometimes it can be reflected here on the web.

I firmly believe each and every one of us has a right to voice their opinion, it should just be done with some consideration of others.

Oh, by the way....I like the New Fish Ranch too....!!!   To be fair, I have never been to Extreme F&P, hence nothing to say.

If you have something to say about Xtreme, please say it here. If not, it tends to get difficult for someone who might be looking for a succinct review of a store and has to read through a few (well, 5...) pages to get a few reviews. I'm not a fan of just arbitrarily deleting posts, so I'm trying to rely on everyone else to stay on topic.

i've usually for the most part have had good experiences at Xtreme, usually when i go i havn't seen too many dead fish in the tanks. But i havnt been there in a few months b/c i been going to mikes tropical fish and pet since he was closer to my house and cut me good deals, too bad he's closed now =[

went to xtremefish today they new shipment malawi and wild tropheus ,red rainbow,chimba,ilangi,kalambo, and bemba. bought some nice kaizer

I went to this store this weekend, and he has a lot of wild and pondraised Tropheus right now and a few Petros.

He has some Trewavsae and Tri-colors.  A couple of the Tri-Colors are real pretty.  All the Petros are Burundi Farm Raised, might have a couple wilds.

For Tropheus has...

Wildcaught - Ilangi (not so good), Kalambo (Nice), Katoto (small wilds?), Chipimbi(ok)

Pondraised - Maswa Adults - (Dont look so good), White Band Dubs Juvis (ok), Kiriza-Kaiser II Juvis (nice), Ikola Kaiser Juvi(fair), Red Flame Bemba Mediums Juvi(ok), Red Flame Bemba Smalls Juvi(ok), Red Rainbows Juvi (not so good), Zongwe Yellow Murago Juvi (ok).

He has (3) FLuval FX5's for like $250 each that you might could walk out with for much less.

He has some nice fish, but I think he underfeeds them.  I definately see that he is trying.  

All of his Tropheus/Petro stock comes from Old World Exotic.

The pondraised Trophs were like $18-25 each.

The wilds were all in the range of $40-50 each.

I did not ask about any Petro pricing.

I believe the small trews were $25
Tri-colors were $30

That's pretty impressive of Xtreme to bring that much exotic selection like tropheus, trews, and petro in because not many lfs would bring those fish because imo those are hard to sell due to their high costs. I don't think many people are willing to buy $20-30 per fish unless you are a serious hobbyist.
