Force fed, Pond raised, put in an environment in which maximum growth is the main concern = maximum money.

I have said plent about all the LFS in town and even ones not in town... do a search. As said before I view Truong as a friend and have bought plenty of things from him... no to be weary, I see that you update this thread with his stocklist almost religiously so maybe we should ask you to become a sponsor at HFB as Extreme's rep?

I am just critisizing the fish as I see them, he has brought in some nice fish but some of them have this unproportional look to them. That's all.

To me it seems like you have something to be defensive about or just want to pick a fight with me... either way it doesn't matter cause I will continue to call it like I see it regardless of how someone feels about it. If your fish is ugly I either won't say anything or tell you just that. Now seeing as though you are promoting Extreme which I have nothing against would it not be ok for me to critic the fish? Or is it only ok to advertise a non-supporting LFS on here?


It's a forum in which discussion keeps it afloat... if everyone was to say yes m'am to everything then there wouldn't be much discussion now would there?

oh... and last I checked it says Retailer's Feedback in this section and not Only Jeebus' positive feedback about Extreme.


We all know Truong is a great guy to deal with and only wants to provide Houston with fish we want which also makes his cash flow.


and I not only post about the ugly ones but I post about the nice one's too.... in another thread I posted when I saw the bulu points and the ikolas when they came in... they were pretty nice.

It only seems like smooth sailing around here when everyone is agreeing with you.

I get nothing from Truong for posting in this thread. I only update the Tropheus stocklist whenever possible for other Tropheus lovers. As for calling them how you see them, perhaps you need a new pair of glasses. There is nothing wrong with those Illangi and you know it. All they suffer from is stress from shipping travel.

BTW, short of the Burund farm workers getting in their waders and manually scooping each troph up and using an injector to squirt food into their mouths every day, how exactly do you "force feed" a fish?

And no, I'm not picking a fight with you. It just seems I'm the only one not on your jock.

a lot of people on here don't agree with me but none get offended by it nor do I, unlike some I understand this is the internet and can careless, also view just about everyone on here as my friend.

I have seen them and no my prescription has been updated... I agree everything will suffer from shipping stress. but stress will not change the body shape or spinal problems. Did you see all the other fish? I bought the group of Ilangi's that he previously had just to let you know that I am not bias about Truong/Extreme/Old World.  Now what do you have for argument with d1ckhead Ek? With that group I had to buy the one majorly deformed female that was in the group. The group I got had major issues with them but I was able to get them eating properly and they became super active compared to before.  Have you seen some of the older "wildcaughts" that were brought in before everyone started bringing in OldWorld stock? When comparing them you will see the difference that I see and am mentioning here. Also compare these newer stock to some of the fish that have been on the "puppy chow" diet and then return back and tell me what you think.

Now with the deformed one.... it has a short spine. She bred and started holding so I removed her from my tank since I did not want the chance of it being a gene related problem.

As for force feeding.... as you may or may not know depending on the health of your own fish... Trophs will eat anything and everything till they die.  Do they choose what you feed them? Not really... Do they tell you how much to feed them? if that were the case we wouldn't have all these peopel crying about their bloated fish due to overfeeding or feeding NLS.

So with this could you not agree that we could feed some super protein packed growth hormones? would that not be similar to force feeding to obtain maximum size? Try and keep your dictionary a bit open minded here... the words have more then just one definition.

The doctor fish were a nice find. I have not seen them anywhere else. :)
