For someone who is forgiving you sure like to remind everyone of your experience everytime Alex's name comes up.

You posted that at the end of November LAST yr, dude let it die. Your post is not even relevant to the thread as a whole. No one asked you of your experiences with Alex. Everyone here is talking about the fish.

I think Alex is a different person then what you have experienced with him RonR.

At least I haven't had any bad dealings with him and he seems to work with the prices that he has set for the fish if you are serious about buying.

Hmmm....I been knowing Alex a very long time. When he was a student at U of H.

And during that time...I never remember him dealing with anything out side of Tangs.

I said I wasn't going to forget it.  You just don't do business that way.  We've had several new members join since Nov. and this thread is in the feedback section.  Lots of you have had good experiences with Alli.........great........my experience was much different and my opinion of him is my opinion.......just sharing it here.   If you feel you need to defend him, seems like you're taking it personally.  My 2 cents.   I'm just calling it like I see it.  :)

ek, you may be right and I value your opinion bro.  You just don't forget a bad deal, especially with fish folks since we can get pretty serious about our fish.

delock, alli has always been a front freak.  It was a customer or potential customer of his that wanted to buy my aro and Alli had another aro he wanted to sell him........not even sure if alli had it or was playing middle man on the deal.  I met him several times when he was just a hobbyist........no shop.  A friend of mine bought a beautiful kigoma male from him...........about 13"-14" long and even sold him several fronts.  The man came to my house........never again.

I agree as hobbyist the game is that much more serious.....Don't know why but I guess that's just the way it is.

Also since this is the Retailer's Feedback section I think that everyone's opinion/feedback is needed regardless of time frame.

We take this serious for the simple fact that no matter how small of a tank you have.....it still costs you a small fortune in the end.  Because the dang things are like Lays chips.....you just can't have one in the end....LOL!!!!!

Ron,

I would have kept the deposit no matter what.  I think it was EDIT of the buyer to do that to you.  If he already had commited to that sale and made a deposit, and then backed out because what Alex said, then shame on him.  Not Alex in my opinion...

Should have just kept the deposit and told him go get your fish from him and get the **** out of my house!

I was in ultimate fish today and theres a lot of sick/dead fish in there.

There used to be alot of puffers but i could only find the one today, and he was thin and head standing in the corner barely moving.

There was a nice ABN male in an unmarked tank, but NFS. Theres also 2 percula clowns? in a SW tank next to the 'check out' area that were playing in one of the SW corals. Very cute.

When I went Monday I saw the puffer and it was small and a bit thin but nothing that looked out of the ordinary for recently imported fish and it was really active following my fiance around.....she almost made me bring it home they grew so attached while I was drooling over the rest of the new shipment.

That store is by far my favorite LFS.  When I lived in Spring I would go to that store weekly.  Even when I had no money I would go just to look.  This was back at his old location though.  Im planning to go to his store very soon to purchase a new tank if he can get me a deal.

Alex himself is awesome.  He is very helpful and always keeps great stock.
