Well I think I got took. In my ignorance of freshwater plants and being in a hurry I bought some painted plants. I am not sure what they are, but they have white painted on the leaves.

As I was leaving the fish room I notice some "Painted Mollies". I asked the girl there why they did that. She had no answer.

Sorry to hear that, about both your plants and the painted fish.  I personally would never buy a painted or dyed fish.  I would imagine they have to inject the color and that surely must be painful to the fish, shorten it's life and probaly not last.  I don't think I've ever seen a painted plant.  I picked up some nice plants at the HAS auction.  I think I read somewhere their next auction would possibly be the first week in August.  That's not really that far away if you're a patient person.

So, these painted plants, did someone paint the whole plant white? or just the leaves, or what? I don't quite understand, sounds kinda weird...

I'm sorry, too, but I'm glad you didn't get any painted fish!
