Okay whoa whoa whoa... Tell me what you're looking for and I'll tell you if they have it in stock. We went today and were horribly disappointed. They didn't have half of what was advertised in the dfwbox thread I linked above. He had some some lielupe, julies, and just a few small Calvus. Not much beyond that. We went to the Fish Gallery, North Dallas Aquariums, and Rift 2 Reef. It seems the flavor in Dallas is definitely: Salt, Malawi, and then South American Cichlid. It was rare to find some good Tanganyikan - especially at Rift 2 Reef, which we drove so far north to see.


The highlight of the day was the used equipment selection at North Dallas Aquariums. They had a great selection of used wet/dry sumps, and a great selection of new light fixtures & wet/dry sumps. Actually, they had the best selection of stands/canopies I've ever seen, as well as one of the better selections of aquascaping rock.

Bottom line, we have the better stores - just don't tell any Dallas snobs.  :P

And YES, I would love to have delivered, had someone called me! Maybe next time..  :wink:

Jeebus - I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed. Alot depends on when the smaller stores get shipments in.

I agree, I think that Houston is a "fishier" city. 8)

Houston has wayyyyy better Freshwater, but Dallas has wayyyy better Saltwater. IMHO

It did feel that way. In fact, that was the first thing I told my wife as we left the last of the three fish stores we visited.

I did want to see Keller Farms in Haltom City and True Percula in South Arlington. Maybe next time..
