Hmm... in most cases for across the board fw lighting I would suggest the 6500-6700k plant bulbs along with the "white" actinics.
This would give you a nice white daylight or "high noon" color to the eye. I'm not a big fan of all the crazy blue colors or the 10,000k bulbs.
Now with the 8bulb fixture I would throw in at least one 10-14k bulb though to soften the lighting since having 8 6700ks would be an eye sore for sure!700g Mini-Monster tankComment

I have a Current-USA Nova Extreme. It comes std with 4 lamps T5HO 2x 10k and 2x 460nm actinics.

Running 4' - Hagen Glo on all the tropheus tanks. Planning to upgrade to a better fixture down the road. Looking at the ATI power module 4x54. I know it is overkill for a tropheus tank, but they look awesome and being in my living room, they have to look great.

Just bought a 12k (blue tip) from UV lighting.. nice light.. T&T sold it to me as a 10k light but when I got home and checked its actually a 12k... so I will run with the 12k and see how it works for now. So far I like it.. but I want to try the green tipped 10k and see the difference.
