I got the fixture from Catalina Aquarium. It contains 2-80W 60" T5 lights and it cracked my tops where the ballast is located. Now I have put the mouting legs on the unit and not had any issues since that time. The fixture does get hot though.
They offered to put fans installed, but the salesman told he did not think it would be needed. He must have been thinking of the 36" or 48" stuff. So I did not pay the extra to get the fans.
I also had two brisstlenose go over and into the people tank when I had no tops on a small tank.
It was sad..
