I have never seen any laws prohibiting plant collection (except for endangered species) in the state of Texas, not to say they don't exist. I personally have never had problem, and do my knowedge have not heard of any one that has. Really it may be left upto the park as some parks don't want collecting of any kind for safety reasons, like in Brazos Bend collecting is prohibited due to the abundance of gators.

If anyone does find any laws about plant collecting please post.

Just a quick note... Saturday, June 6th is the State of Texas Annual "Free Fishing Day". No licenses are required for fishing. You may want to up your date if possible. It would certainly save everyone a bit of cash!

Went today and checked it out nice place there is a shelter right by the water but its first come first serve so I will try to get there early to get the spot.

hey darbax, we want to go but not sure about being there at 9am! Jeebus will be getting off a 24 hr shift that morning from the fire station so we might head out there around 10-11ish. Oh, and neither one of us have a fishing license so we'll probably just go and hang out and help with whatever non-fishing stuff we can do.
