Thanks for setting this up! I had a fun time. I really liked it when they brought the five foot piece of driftwood back to the pavilion.
When I got the snails from you, I put them in the car. After I got back in the car, the water was warm. I put them in the tank and four of them are up and doing well. We'll see how the 5th guy does.
Hey all thanks for coming. After I got home I started getting the catch acclimated to the tank they are going in. And then I passed out. It was hot as all hell out there. But I had fun. I only lost 2 guys so far. I think I drank to much beer and not enough water for how hot it was I was feeling sick or maybe it was the brats. Thanks Nick. It was nice meeting the new faces that showed up and I was glad everyone had a good time out there and we will definitely have to do another one maybe in the fall when it gets cooler and maybe we can make Nick happy in do it in Freeport.

So I ended up with about 15 F. chrysotus, a few ghost shrimp, and a few species of plants. The chrysotus are gorgeous. I think they're the prettiest one's I've seen. They spent today in their buckets, with lots of water changes and air stones. But tonight I had time to put them in a 10g, and I plan to take pictures of them when they're acclimated and the tank ceases to be cloudy. I'm so happy with them! :) How are everyone else's fishes doing?
The turtles are doing well. The are in a bucket and they don't smell as bad now. I have about 8 Of the golden killies and they are doing well. I actually caught more, but I gave some of mine to Mzungu.
My daughters mussels are still in the bucket....we've done a few water changes and it looks like they're ready for the tank....she finally was able to see them out yesterday, she was a bit shocked at the way they look.
A mouth will say anything....:ym_chatterbox:....Take a picture!!!!
since i obviously missed this one due to being overbooked...
when is the next one?
140 New World Cichlids 125 African Lakes Victoria and Malawi 80 Lake Tanganyika (Burundi Frontosas) 30 Pundamilia Neyerie Ruti Island group 29 Tropical Semi Aggressive/Community And to think....in January it was just the 29...)
And to think I go sit in this heat (no shade) just to drop a line in the water hoping I'll run into a fish who'll take the bait. And all just to take a pic of the fish....which I then let go....
