We're not positive WHERE the next one is going to be, but we'll post it in probably a week or two. You can count on it being the 3rd Friday or Saturday of every month.

We usually give more advanced notice about meetings, but it's been a bit crazy lately and we didn't have a location until just recently for this month's meeting. :)

I keep an eye out for the post..like I said I would like to come....so hopefully it is somewhere easy to find. I have never been to Houston....so I don't want to get lost.

The meeting tomorrow is from 7-9pm in downtown Houston. Usually the information is posted on the first entry for the thread... but in this case it is not. I'll PM you the exact location in a sec. Usually we have a 20 discussion about upcoming club events, what is going on within the club, etc... After that, we have food. Members usually bring food/drinks to share with everyone else. Then we just relax and talk... about everything (fish and otherwise). I've learned a great deal about the hobby by conversing with others. I also managed to meet people who eventually helped me move a year ago.

The meetings are generally held on the third weekend of the month. Normally Friday or Saturday. They are held at different member's homes, are the therefore subjuct to their time constraints (that is why it would be either Friday or Saturday). We have a website full of other information - www.myghac.org.

I am trying to find an excuse to tell my husband why else I should be able to go to houston...I thought to take my oldest son to the Houston Aquarium....and then afterwards go to the meeting, as long as having an 8 yr old at the meeting would not be an issue?

First, an 8 year old is MORE than welcome to come! We usually have kids at the meetings, as well, although some don't stay up as late as the rest of us.

Second, we will announce a tentative date for the next auction at the meeting tomorrow. We will probably post the announcement sometime in the near future. :)
