    Re: Christmas Party

Hello Scott.  I have been holding off replying to this thread because I didn't know for sure if I could make it.  You can count me in for three to four persons.  I can bring a pie or two.

I imagine it is hard for everyone to commit when during this time of December is so hectic and plans can change in a wink of an eye.  Could be some people are going out of town as well.

What is the "confirmed attending" guest list as of now?  What do you think the minimum is for particpants?

      Re: Christmas Party

So far, the confirmed are Jerry, Tim, you, Chris, David, Mike, my wife and myself, and a whole lot of silence from everyone else. As far as a minimum number, there isn't one as far as I know, I leave that to Roy.

OK.....cool.  Now here is a question for you.  Was there any talk of a gift exchange of any sort?  Doesn't matter to me either way, I just don't want to be the jerk that didn't bring one if everyone else is....

Nope, no gift exchange, we can't even get people to confirm they are coming. A gift exchange would be even tougher to pull off.

Besides listing the event here, did you try to email everyone that filled in your sign-in sheet  a few months back?

                    Re: Christmas Party

It's party time!  Tomorrow, Saturday Dec 17th.  Starts at 4pm until ????
We are night owls so if you need to come late no problem. We are providing roast turkey, spiral cut ham, dressing, scalloped potatoes, baked beans, cocktail shrimp, soda and beer. You bring the rest.

Our pool is heated and so is the jacquzzi/hot tub so bring your swim suits.

Address is 9426 Laurel Wind Court, Houston 77040, we are 5 min from Beltway 8 and West RD and 8 min. from the 290 and Gessner.

Coming from the Beltway, exit West Rd and go East, West dead ends into Gessner and you must turn right, take your first left onto Laurel Bridge (the community is called Laurel Creek and there is a large sign there), go 1 block and turn left onto Village Terrace, go 1 block and turn right onto Laurel Trace, go 3 blocks to Laurel Wind Ct, turn right, we are the last house on the right.

                    Phone 713 291-1138

From the 290 exit Gessner and go North past Mona Loa, second right is Laurel Bridge.

See ya all tomorrow. Roy and Heidi

                      Re: Christmas Party

1 correction, Saturday the 16th, not the 17th. If you show on the 17th all you get is left overs, hehe.

Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

                            Re: Christmas Party

The party was great!  I was happy to see everyone again.  Oh, and the Mrs. liked it too.  LOL

I think the best part was seeing David get clawed to death...LMAO!  You had to be there... :P

Roy and Heidi have a very nice home and nice tanks with nice fish.  They were wonderful hosts.

Can wait till the next get together.

I would like to thank Roy and Heidi for hosting a wonderful Christmas party. For those of you who missed it, you missed a great time, and a heated pool which Tim, David, and David's girlfriend exploited to the fullest.

Sorry we didn't make it. Didn't get free till 10:30, and even if the party was still going on then, I would have been asleep by the time I got there.
