You would probably have to take it to an embroidering place or something for that.  I don't know how they could personalize them if they are going to be made in mass quanities unless they were one-off shirts.  If they are one-off shirts, I'm sure the price is going to go up.

Where did this shirt stuff come from? The GHAC isn't making any shirts for the forseeable future. Any revenue that the club generates for the near future will have to be spent on the legalities of establishing the club. Once all that is accomplished we could look at shirts, but that will be awhile yet.
I feel like I am in a big game of post office here, hehe.

Scott, theyre talking about paying the club for the shirts, not the club paying for the shirts. That way the legalities will be taken care of that bit sooner.

I understand that Chris, but there is an initial cost to order the shirts and design the embroidery. In order to get the shirts at a cost that would be attractive to members there would be a minimum order as well. You are looking at something between $500-$800 just for an initial order. Thats money that the club just doesnt have, and wont have for quite some time. Even if everyone prepaid for a shirt, we would still be looking at several months before there was enough interest to make it a viable option.
The motorcycle group I belong to went through this same issue. Just for patches there was a $400 minimum. This brought the cost of each patch to $8 a person on a 50 patch order. Now keep in mind, that is just a patch and doesn't include the cost of a shirt to pin it to. granted, embroidering a shirt would be cheaper for the embroidery, but more expensive overall once you factor in the cost of the shirt.

Well, correct me if I'm mistaken, but I thought the orginal talk about T-Shirts came about from the desire to assist this website HFB with it's expenses towards webhosting costs ?

ok, but this is the GHAC thread. They are seperate entities. Doing HFB shirts would be up to Ken, not the GHAC.

I'm not sure how they got mixed up into here.  But I originally came up with the shirt idea so that HFB could generate funds to cover the cost of a new hosting route.  Looks like some folks got mixed up on which thread they were on and started discussing the shirt idea here.

Hmmmm... I knew of a lady in Manvel that owns an embroidery shop. She did everything I wanted on my Carhartt for like $8.00. She told me that specialty stuff such as logos would have to be digitized(?) for an initial fee and then it would just be the matter of the string and work fees after that. I wonder if she's still open... Anyone living in Alvin on this board probably knows where I'm talking about if they drive through Manvel often enough. Her shop is by the movie rental place...

Yeah, I can't wait until the next meeting at Mike's!! It was pretty fun, but really draining. It would be really cool if we did break the record, but it sure would be SUPER crowded! Maybe this time everyone can pitch in and bring box fans from home or something to put outside. It wasn't bad on the inside of the shop because of the AC, but due to space limitations and smokers, most everyone was forced to sit outside on the patio in the heat.

Reba, what kind of bunny do you have? I raise rabbits!!! I'm about to start breeding them again...prolly tomorrow. I have a baby in the nestbox right now that will end up not having one of its front legs. It will be super small and it's so cute right now. Maybe I'll get some pics and post them in the chat room later.

Anyway, sorry for hi-jacking this thread guys!

hey...it's chat and it's about the last meeting lol.  We met and now we are chatting.  She's a kind of beige marble-y lionhead I think. She has pretty long fur, the beige has patches of grey on her back.   She is very pretty, but driving my allergies crazy.  Even living in my spare bedroom I know she is having a better life than outside in the stinking sun of Houston.  I grew up with outside rabbits... but they had boxes and shade and ice cubes in the summer.  This rabbit has it made lmao.
No leg?  lol you should name her tricycle ;-)  I am horrible with names, but tricycle is kinda cute  
So.... when IS the next meeting???? hmmmm?
