Wonderful!  Ours are 9 and 5, so I think they'd enjoy it too.  I have no problem with drinking or smoking, I just wanted to make sure that it was okay with everyone to have a couple of rugrats hanging out.  

My cousin is a lurker on the site and I'll see if he and his girlfriend (who is new into the fish hobby and completely addicted as well) can come next month too.  They are in Deer Park, like you.  I'm amazed at how many people I see on the boards who are down on the Southeast side...I grew up in Pasadena/Deer Park.  I keep trying to figure out if I know Geoff_tropheus.  LOL

Well, I live in the deep Southwest...and I made it to Mike's at rush hour time in about 1 1/2 hrs! Ouch.
The meeting was quite nice for me, a near total stranger to most of the members.
I was impressed by Mike's place, and Mike. Way cool site for a LFS, and he's doing a great job putting it together.
Everyone I met and talked to was a pleasure to meet and talk to...that was a nice experience for me.
The members brought their little memberlings and that made the meeting even more fun...children are cuter than their parents, as a rule, and see cookies as a real plus.
I brought home some new knowledge and a Rubberlip Pleco...yay!
Mike also let me get some needed new tank buddys after the meeting, some tiny Panda Corys and 2 cats for my untidy Molly tank. Thanks, I needed that!
Some of the snails Loopy brought for the auction went to a good home, as well...mine!
Thanks for a fun and edifying GHAC meeting, ya'll.

OMG...

Philbert's post reminded me.  Someone accidentally left a bag of Snails at Mike's place.  I found it when we were straightening up the place a bit.  If you are missing snails, call Mike.

lol the raffle things.  I can't help  I bought a bunch of tickets to support the group ;-)
My corey cats are cleaning up after my jaguars, the brichardi is swimming with similarly sized cichilds, the pond kit is finding it's own special spot, the holey rock will be placed as soon as my stretch hex arrives, the heater is already heating, and um...oh yeah...the snails (nerites) will go into my new tank.  Ek, my puffer has eaten two of your little snails, but I missed video'ing it.  
It was awesome meeting philbert and hearing the tales of his mollies.  The mollies I took home are doing VERY well.  Today is water change day...woohoooo lol.  
Everyone, it was awesome seeing you again!!! It's nice to know when the meetings will be.  I can't wait to see how large our club can grow!  Congrats on the success of membership and the raffle.  Until the next time...

I saw some pea puffers that look really good at the petsmart on 1960/249 and almost went home with some again....who knows.....if I ever sell my Mobas I might replace them with a Mbu instead of more trophs...

I think the raffle was fixed.  LOL  I had forgotten how much stuff you won Reba.  But hey, that helped the Club out so thanks!

i had a blast at the meeting as always, i understand why there wasnt too much meeting stuff and know that it will be more organized next time, but i know that the main idea behind the meetings was more for hanging out and enjoying fish then anything else. i believe i put my name is for newsletter, but will pm Raul again.
