just came back from a company party after working last night and a long shift at that going back to work in traffic after 4hrs of sleep is taking it's toll.....gonna try and rest a bit and then it's back out with the in-laws.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for a most excellent time tonight! I love that our first 'meeting' was the Christmas party. I know we had seen a few of you at the HAS auction, but this was the first time we actually got to talk to any of you...er....face to face that is.
So anyway, just got home and wanted to say    :emtthumbs: :emtthumbs: :emtthumbs: to everyone, and :bsty: to Heidi and Roy for being fantastic hosts.
Raul -- if you talk to Santa again, would you mind telling him that he was a big hit with the kids.

Truth is the cement that holds the bricks and stones of a sane and civilized society together. Remove the former and the latter will crumble.
Thank you so much for a great evening. We appreciate your welcoming us all in and making us feel so comfortable. Being "Geeks" :) we really aren't very social and don't get out much (well except to the electronics stores and fish stores) but everyone was so great and made us feel very comfortable. Who knows? We may end up actually deciding to have a social life outside our ever growing fish rooms and computers.
I really thought the pleasure was going to come from (in this order) seeing my wife cook (I love you baby) , getting some really cool black sand from CichlidFan (thank you again) and off loading some fish to make room for the Trophs we are expecting and the Rams Girlgeek doesn't know I'm getting soon. We had a really nice time and look forward to the next meeting and seeing you all again.
Heidi and Roy, wonderful time. You are great hosts and we appreciate you opening your home t us and the kids.
Santa, you made Jordan's night. He actually thought we were going home to open presents because you had come.
Thank you all again.

The Party was a blast! I had so much time, but time past too quickly. Thank you Roy and Heidi for being wonderful Hosts. The food...I'm so stuffed.
We had some new faces/members this time around, welcome all.
I thought the Gift exchange was great. Yeah, Santa decided to pay a visit for the little ones and not so little ones...Megan, Santa's lap still hurts from you falling on him...
It was great to see and talk to everyone. I will be posting the next months meeting info by Monday.
Merry Christmas to everyone...please have a safe Holiday!
The party was great! I'm sure glad Santa stopped by, since there were plenty of youngsters to thrill. Although Warren didn't get home from work until a while after the party started, I still managed to drag our tired butts there - and I'm sure glad I did! Once there, the great company and conversation made me forget how tired I was. We both had a great time, especially watching the thieves at the gift exchange.
Roy and Heidi - you are excellant hosts and many thanks to you for opening your door to us, actually doors since we were allowed to admire your beautiful back yard and relax outside also :).
It was good to see all the familiar faces and great to meet some new ones - now I can put a face to names!
Thanks to everyone, for sharing your smiles, laughter and good company :) !

Thanks for the advice on Pinchy. Girlgeek keeps trying to shine a flashlight under her tightly clinched tail I can't get her out from underneath the tank. It's like a strobe light under the stand. Flashlight on... Flashlight off, flashlight on... flashlight off.
Thank you

That was a fun time!
Having the Christmas Party at Roy and Heidi's beautiful home was the extra touch that made it so nice.
So many great people in one place...sure made the dogs happy! I couldn't tell who was having the most fun jumping in and out of the pool, the dogs or the kids!
Truly a mountain of delicious food, sufficient libations ("drinks" for the undereducated), and the gracious hosts made for a fun time; I met and re-met many members, and their chilluns; had some interesting and unusual conversations, watched members steal and re-steal their gifts (fishlady, you got snookered!) and still managed to learn something about the hobby.
Santa was a nice touch...so was the really cool bunch of member's kids.
Merry Christmas to all, and thanks for a really good evening!
