    Re: January meeting night

Philbert -  the tank is temporary for babies since I wasn't sure what I was bringing home from meeting.   will get some rearranging done this week.     didn't want babies to be viewed as a snack!!

Spot...I forgot to thank you specifically for the Red Platys...thanks! The Sailfins are right at home, and the male is busy being pursued by just about every male in the tank. He'll get some rest tomorrow. They are nice fish....
Not a problem.  The platies I have left are probably happy to have more room.  I figured the sailfins would be happy at your place.  They were getting a bit crowded here too.  I've found that the green molly males are more agressive to each other and any other male than the black, orange or platinum varieties.  More than ones I"ve had to give a green male a tank all to himself cause he'll constantly attack any other male molly in the tank.

        Re: January meeting night

        My experience is so different.
I have about 25 or so males in my 55, including the 2 I got from you (one of the "females" was a male w/o a high sailfin yet); they all get along real well, flashing their sailfins a lot but never fighting. My 2 biggest males went at it one full day at the beginning, and now that "big dude" is settled, no one fights.
The mature male I got from you is settled in nicely, swimming around in this group or that one; my bigger Greens tend to group together, and never get belligerent.
The Platys are real happy in the 55 girl tank, even the little ones hang in the Hornwort with the other small fry. They look real nice in the tank.
I need to rehome about 25 more fish, then I'll have the group I wanted and concentrate on raising my Black Lyretails...I have some really outstanding ones at about 1" now, and I am looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
        Thanks again...
