awww sorry michael, i loved all the fish i got, not a single loss even though they had to wait at work till around 7 ish. thats when i got them into tanks. the rack in my bedroom is now officially full. i got a bunch of the smaller fish in the 20 long with a sponge filter and a hob with filterpad over the intake, because its final stage will be as a fry tank. but all the ameca spendens, and tequila goedids are very happy, i have to ask jughead what fish i got from him again. i had it in my mind and my coworker got bit by a dog real bad right when i walked in the door and i forgot about everything i was thinkin. . He had to go get a rabies shot too, those are not fun, i hope to never have to get one.

Yeah I loved the event :) I think it was prolly the most successful event GHAC has had in its young life :)
I was so happy to see a ton of people there and even though I walked away with only a few items I had a blast.
... we should have one in the fall .. I am thinking sometime in Oct / November when it cools off a little. I am thinking the next big event should go next and then we should have a swap and sell in Oct / Nov again, when we can all stand outside and not melt.
I am thinking we should vote for a Sunday meet so those people who work on Saturday can get to come too :)
just my 2c

I was planning on going to the swap except I mixed up the date and time with the monthly meeting. I was at Delock's condos looking for fishfreaks and geeks but I found none.
Eventually, I realized what hapened and went home. I was so excited to go to the swap and get some plants. boohoo. I even brought a guest, other than me, my son. He's only 6 months old but he loves sitting next to my 55g tank and looking at the fishy fish swim by and stare at him. Come to think of it, I haven't been able to think straight (or get any sleep) in the past 6 months. Maybe theres a connection there?
In the end, I was more disappointed than he was. Are there any plants around? Driftwood? Glass covers (2) for my 55g?

Hey, was that you that tried to call me? I got the voicemail this morning...sorry. I had my phone charging and was involved with family stuff.
greg_tsam - I have some spare pieces of glass that you can have that should cover a 55 gallon aquarium as long as there is a brace in the middle. Sorry about the confusion.
Thanks to everyone who could make it. Fiona and I enjoyed seeing old faces and meeting new ones. :)
Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
Thanks, Tim I do have a brace in the middle. And, yes, Raul, that was me. lol. Sorry to bother you. I felt a little foolish afterwards. Oh well. Sometimes we all have to play the fool. Reminds me of a song I once knew.

I had a great time, as well! Thanks again, Tim and Fiona!
It was hot, but I think that their backyard was an ideal place in such weather - lots of shade!
I'll post picks in a little bit, but I just wanted to ask (for the record): Where is this "post" everyone was talking about, the one where I said I would be bringing snails? Huh?!?
