What is the difference between the raffle and the door prizes, etc?

What kinds of things should be donated?

Door Prize is something raffled to members just to say thank you for making the meeting.  The regular raffle are items anyone can buy tickets for to try and win one or more of them.  The raffle is a way to raise money for the club.  

Almost anything can be included in the raffle.  In general its hobby related, but we have had tickets to events unrelated to the hobby donated before.

Hello all...we became proud parents of a whole bunch (school/shoal?) of bristlenose babies yesterday...they are so cute!!!   In celebration Roy is making a brisket after all...

We would appreciate it very much if a couple people could come a bit BEFORE to help with the set up and I hope the "clean up committee" is still in business for AFTER...

Wait till you see the Amazon mural taking shape on our bedroom wall...the 135 gal. will be part of it...hopefully the artist will be able to attend, too...you know you're a fishnut...when you paint your bedroom wall to match your fishtank...

So be sure to step into my bedroom tomorrow night...
