True enough, but on the other hand, that's a lot of people wanting back $1.50 for every $10 they spend. Times are
tight...maybe they've decided they could use the money more. Not saying they do, or they should...just that they might.

My apologies to anyone I offended by my interruption. Those who know me well, know I have very thick skin and a long fuse. It takes a lot to upset me. However, I admit that I have been working Xtra long hours at my job, we are short handed and busy and it is taking its toll on me. I still do not think I should have
been treated the way I was at FG though. It's not like I was trying to con them out of hundreds of $$$$. I purchased 2 $14.99 fish, that's it.

i hated to hear that you were treated so rudely Nick....even if Omar had a problem with people showing cards or not that was no excuse for his jumping all over you. I think he owes you a formal apology.....

In today's tight economy I think all businesses should put customer service at the head of the line if they hadn't in the past. There is not a good reason for Nick to be treated so rudely as customer's are why they are still in business discount or not.
Hopefully FG will evaluate thier behavior -- Yes, Nick an apolige is deserved no matter the tone or whomevers bad day.
"We" the members of GHAC are quick to point "why" something incomplete. I hope I will be able to be of more assistance to the club. Yes, we all have very busy lives. It's our club so let's all pitchin abit more in some way to make it thrive. The officers can not and should not "do it all". Thankyou GHAC.

Customer Service is very important to me as an consumer. When you think you having a bad day dont take it out on the customer...never. The effects of going off on one customer can cause this store to lose over a 100.

I am of a few minds on this. I happened to go in there today, after Nick was there. I got a few fish, nothing too special, but I did ask for the discount. They asked for my card, and I told them what I had been told, that I joined to late to get one of the fancy cards, and that I was supposed to get a temporary card at some point. They gave me the discount, but explained that it was the last time they could do so until I had a card to show them. They mentioned speaking with folks at GHAC, and that they would be getting the membership lists to keep things clear, and explained that folks were showing up with fake club cards for a discount. They were actually polite to me, which amazed me. They were professional and courteous.

This is not my usual experience there. Don treats me kindly, but for the most part, every other employee there has treated me like dirt. I can't find help, and though I understand I have a million and one questions about fish before I buy them, I have actually seen employees see me and head in a different direction. It isn't like I am a customer that never purchases things - I almost always spend my money, so why the avoidance? I have had them be outright rude, and in general I get frustrated shopping there. I much prefer the way I am treated at some of the other shops. Some just treat me like a customer - professionally. Some treat me like a welcome guest, and I return there again and again.
The other thing that frustrates me about FG is that I have to take extra precautions when buying their fish - I have left their store, come home and had all the fish dead in the quarantine tank inside a week because they carried some illness. It gets to the point that I ask them before buying any fish there, how long they have had it and when was the last time they added fresh fish to the tank so I have some idea as to how healthy they are.
