I wanted those fish but i knew i could not keep them in a 10 or 20 gallon aquarium... but my older brother said he might buy be a litterer knife fish if I put a 10g in his room with bala sharks and cool fish like that.

I have seen Bala Sharks getting upwards of 10"...might not want to put these in a 10gallon

I know some one who sells baby one and if they get too big I will give em to my my teacher who has like 55 g,75g etc.

I would agree. I have one (he outlived his brethren) that's at least a dozen years old in a 135G, he's probably 6 inches or so. They prefer to have a lot of room in a long tank, and I think you're likely to shorten their lifespan by keeping them in such a small space.

In fact, this doofus tried to swim UP my Python the other day during a water change. I walked away for a minute and when I came back he was in the large intake tube with his snout stuck in the house, flipping and flopping but unable to free himself. I had to pull the whole thing out of the water to stop the suction and release him. He was none the worse for wear, so it was pretty funny.

ok,I had Aquarium club to day and we cleaned out the fish supply closet and got really dirty sponge filters that he did not want.(just needed to be super washed) In one of his empty tanks we found a craw fish that was in there for a year and it was still alive!lol

That's so cool! I wish we had had an aquarium club at my school - what an awesome idea!

We have an aquatic science class at my school, which I'm in this year. We each get in groups that set up aquariums that we take care of throughout the year, as we learn about the ecosystems, as well as other environmental aspects.

We're fundraising for some field trips right now, I'm cosidering doing some raffles on here for it

I got some more yellow shrimp to add to my breeders and decor, a young pair of brown BN plecos to broaden my bloodlines of my breeders, a 55gal stand and a 10 gal hood/lamp. Not much, would have liked to come back with more...seemed like we were missing alot of people, and items...never seen a auction that was sooo short..usually they are a lot longer...



And for those of you who left early...you so MISSED the cool stuff at the end. Some things you just cant find anymore, or RARELY see....TOO COOL!
