What did everyone get ?  I didnt make the auction because I had to goto the parents house today, but I am interested in hearing about what cool finds people got, and what they missed out on that came across the tables.

New to the auction-Will there be Koi, goldfish, pond plants or any kind of pond equipment?

If you are looking for pond plants drop me a line.  I have plenty of extra bog and pond plants.  I tried to send you a PM and it does not show in the sent file.

The auction was so much fun!! Everyone was right---it makes you want to buy more fish than you need just because they go so low!!! I had to stop myself!!

Does anyone know when the next auction will be?? So I can get another tank before it starts???

Okay, I've learned my lesson, DO NOT go to auction without first setting up at least one tank ahead of time in preparation for the new arrivals.

I had a great time, it was nice meeting some new fellow HFB members, and seeing other members again.....I look forward to meeting more next time.

Big round of appaulse for the Auctioneer's ....they all did a great job.

Thanks to everyone who helped put the whole thing together. It was a good time for sure.

I got to put a lot faces to heir names at the auction today.

This was the 1st time I was able to sell more then I spent.

You will have plenty of time before HAS another auction here in Houston. As it will be in the fall.
On the other hand there will other auction around Texas that you can attend.
In August there will be a big one called FOTAS. Just keep an eye open in HAS forum for information. FOTAS is not only an auction but will have speakers & fish showing as well.

Good morning,

Another GREAT HAS Auction!  Lots of fun and some real suprises on how high and low some of the bids went for!  Thanks to all the VOLUNTEERS for making it happen!

Houston Livebearer Association (HLA) is talking about having an Auction in the Houston/Galveston area the last weekend in August.  We will keep you posted.  The last Auction HLA had in May was really good with lots of variety of fish stuff!  later, ken/mark

At one point it seemed like it would go on forever...but my wife and I enjoyed it very much.  We sold way way more than we bought..LOL, so we managed to restrain ourselves but it wasn't easy.

I saw plenty of people I already knew and a few I didn't.  From the LHA Club I saw Chris, Michael H., Tim, Spot and Marybeth.  From FishbBox, I also saw Cichlidsooner, Geoff, GuppyMax, PhishPhreek, Cich-Rick, Tattoo and Dave....Way too many to remember right off.  Oh yea, Ken and Mark.  

Mark was telling me that this was largest attendance he has seen.  Staff was great.

It was indeed another great auction!  I'll be busy today rearranging my fish and planting plants.  Not only are the auctions a great place to share your excess fish, supplies and assorted treasures, but it's a great place to get together with fellow fish enthusiasts.  Thanks to the tireless folks from HAS for keeping the auction running smoothly.
