By popular request, HAS' Jan. meeting at cool Dave's house will show you how to make your own fishfood. Last time they used a food processor and veggies and smelly beefheart. You will have food to take home. The fish go nuts over this stuff. Go to www.houstonaquariumsociety.org (under Calendar) for more info. You can bring your own items to experiment with if you want.

Re: HAS Meeting - Homemade fish food - Sunday
Walter, you bring lean roast pork to the meeting?
I plan to bring squid, octopus, smelt, clams, and seaweed (not as snacks, though I do eat these items) for the fishfood.
I would like to know how much to bring though. Thanks.PLECOS SUCK!

Hrm, this sounds like a meeting I oughta go to! Is this sposed to be food for different kinds of fish? What sort of stuff should I bring for making fish food?
wvg: you goin? would you mind if I rode w/ya? I will probably work tomorrow (deer park) so if so, that would be great. Especially since my brakes have started making cool noises....

Re: HAS Meeting - Homemade fish food - Sunday
Walter,
Will bring some crypts. Anybody want some java moss?
The fish food we made last time was good for omnivores. Had both veggies and meat. Very good for angels, discus, most livebearers and lots of other types of fish.

Re: HAS Meeting - Homemade fish food - Sunday
Uhm, so what type of food should I bring to make the fish food with? What types of veggies and meat? Should it be fresh, frozen, canned (on the veggies) and get what kind of meat and where from the deli department or where?? I have some spirulena powder and garlic guard and not sure what else I have that would apply to making fish food....
