Houston Area Aquatic Plant Society has just been formed! We plan on picking back up and would like anyone interested in planted aquaculture to join us in helping to make this new club grow. We are looking to having our first meeting on 2-26-11. Details of this meeting will be forthcoming as they develop

It feels nice to be "official"! Kevin and I have been talking about this for months, and seeing it come to life is awesome. I hope to see many new and old faces at the meeting.

Why not, we plan to follow in the where NASH left off with a heavy attention on aquatic plants and aquascaping but open things up to alternative ways to grow our plants and wild collectingOriginally posted by myjohnson View Post
Since NASH ended Dave and I have done a lot of wild collecting upto the point of finding at least two unknown plant species to the hobby. Thank you to those who showed up today. Looks like we have a good start to HAAPS. we got a lot of the details worked out today, got to see some friends and had a good time. The new ADG facility is coming along very well and Mike may have talked me into some new led lights.
Membership was discussed and we agreed upon for $10 per year per person. Membership does have benefits up to and including a discount from ADG
We will have our next meeting on March 26. Topic location and time will be posted later.
Please note that the April meeting will probably be a field excursion for collecting to be discussed at the March meetingHouston Areas Aquatic Plant Society
