come on mj....lets see the flow dude!
Donald has suggested that a 125g 6 footer may need two. From what I see right now.....I'm getting another one.
Flow is a lot, but very wide so it doesn't slam the fishes against the glass or anything. Flow being so wide just helps make no dead spots. Also has this wild undertow. Seems like the current of water is being sucked back into the vortech and creates this water movement right over the sand bed where all the fish poo is and the filters get a chance to pick it all up.I ate my fish that died.

from most of EKs post, he had it in reef crest mode.
The vortech fills up a 4 ft tank pretty well. I have mine positioned 2" lowest than my water change mark. For a 6 ft (and through all the research everywhere), I think 2 would be better.300+RR (8-10 ft x 30"x30") - Waiting to find it... Lake Tanganyikan
225RR (72"x24"Wx29"H) DSA - Lake Tanganyikan WC Murago
210RR (60"x24"Wx32"H) AGE - Lake Tanganyikan WC IN PROGRESS
160RR 1/2 cylinder (60"x30"Wx30"H) AGE - Altum Biotope IN PROGRESS
90RR (36"x24"Wx25"H) NEO DSA - Rio Meta Biotope
90RR (36"x24"Wx25"H) NEO DSA - Lake Valencia Biotope
