what type of rock do you use....

i dont want to use holey rock... any sugestions would help... i am putting togther a 55 gallon with a solo petro.... what type of rock would look cool on white sand??? really dont know alot about what types of rock are out there....was thinking about lace rock...any help would be appriciated.... thanks mickey

For the Red Bulu?

I would go for the gray/black Petrified wood or there's the other kind that is similar to dragon rock/ Seiryu stones that would look smokin!

Luis Navarro has a tub of Seiryu for sale, some really nice pieces and cheap for how much he has.

Petrified wood. Personally, I like the Palm Tree Petrified the best. Lots of earth tones in it.

Wood is nice, but very, very heavy at points.

Yeah, I would never use any kind of rock in a bare bottom tank. The pressure points of the uneven rocks scare the living crap out of me.

Sand and EggCrate.

I've run barebottom tanks with no eggcrate for 12 years and never a leak or accident. I even dropped them before lots of times.

Be careful about the Petrified wood though, because lots of times it has quartz in it and it can scracth the glass real easy.
