  • Now you all wanted a tank shot so one was shot tonight when the glare from outside light would not interfere.. There are dark spots in the tank that is because the setup is not complete, but I wasnt going to wait weeks for lights to go on the tank so it does not look perfect.. When I have better shots.. I will give them to you :)

            • Chris this photo is Kalambo. Katoto only has yellow eyes and a redwine colored dorsal. This photo is of Kalambo, they have blue dorsals and red eyes with white polkadots.

Here's a more realistic group shot of Kalambo

                • with all the rocks being laid flat, how do they decide territory. Or is there enough room in some of the rocks for them to go call "caves".

                  • they don't need caves those rocks should work just fine IMO.

                    • +1, don't need caves

they will shake and bake anywhere, not necessarily inside an area

                        • Territorial control is actually simple in this tank. My Alpha Kiku male took up the right side of the tank, and allows anyone into his area except for the Beta Kiku Male, who he will run off. He played with one of the two females last night so I know they can do it. I dont know if she was able to lay any eggs, but they went at it for 2 hours last night.. but I never saw any eggs come out. :(
As long as he is not breeding everyone is allowed into his side of the tank. The Chilambo's have not yet set a territory, but since the alpha male Kiku is the only one who has, i dont see it being long before one of the Chilambo males stakes out his.

When the fish are being chased.. they just run into the big group and the chase stops. So there is a large school constantly going infront of the tank.. It looks so good :)

                              • You may have covered this, but are you worried about them crossing?

You have Moorii with Sp Red (aka Moorii)

Or are you planning to move a group in the near future?
