Petrochromis Fry Holding Time - How Long?

Besides my lufubu I was also considering selling my petro trews, until I vented them and noticed one with a bulge in her month. BTW, after venting I figured 2 males and 6 females (based on egg spots 1 males and 7 females) Geoff and JW - these are from the group we bought in 2007.

How long do petros hold? I bet it has been about 3 weeks now and the bulge just looks to be getting bigger. Anyone else with some petro carrying experience?

they hold for about the same amount of time as trophs,maybe a little longer!

I know I've seen 2 so far. One is large (this one in the picture), and the other is about the size of troph fry when spit. Mom still has a bulge, so I'm pretty sure there are more to come. Dad gets really upset when you stand where the fry are too long, and he is chasing larger trophs away from the area.

Try to get better pictures later, but this guy stays well tucked away. And I'm going to need to attach my external flash to hit it from the bottom instead of the top.

There are a minimum of 5. Of course my tank has rocks all over the place (reef style) so there are a lot of hiding places.

Have you'all noticed the spots starting to develop more? I'm trying to get a picture but they tend to not sit still when they are not surrounded by rocks.

The spots are more noticable, but man they can eat
