    i think really the only way to tell if its a male for sure is to vent.
    it took mine forever to settle all the way in.my alpha has only looked like that for a few weeks and i've had them for quite a while.hang in there and you will see how good your alpha will look.
    did you get them from the same place as i got mine?i recently found a male that was supposed to be a female.not the first time dude was wrong about the sex of a fish!!!:furious:

          Since Brian was kind enough to post his pics, I decided to snap a few of my bulu pts. Mine may appear more blue due to the light. Sorry for the crappy pics.

          I thought this one was the alpha male, but I could be wrong.

              Yea, I got them from the same place. I actually think my colony is female heavy... as in 1M : 8FM . Not sure if they are still too young to vent. Most of mine are 5+ inches.

                I see you have a singleton clown loach. Is that the secret to breeding??? I hope so because I just happen to have a singleton clown loach in my tank also! LOL!

                  i actually have three clown loachs in the tank with them...i dont think it helps the breeding at all!they are actually left over from when i had my moba colony.
