Sorry to hear Chris...

I heard it was not good to mix clout and metro. Was told to stick with one or the other.

If you are using metro, dose every 8 hours as it loses it's effectivenss after 8 hours. I would do full doses for a week. I like to use metro as it's not as strong as clout. If my fish are in bad condition, then I would use clout.

I read over at trophs that the tank lights can affect the effectiveness of metro as well. it said to leave them off... i can find the thread right now, but im looking.

TROUBLE IN PARADISE

Man I got hit with a nasty case of bloat. Just when you think everything is great and your on top of your Sh** all hell breaks loose .
since last Wednesday I noticed a sumo about the size of a golf ball so this is what i have done so far

1. wed -full dose of epson
2. thu - full dose of clout * lost one sumo
3. fri -80% w/c half dose of clout * lost 1 ikola
4. sat - 80 % w/c * lost 1 ikola
5. sun -full dose of metro
6. mon actually thought it stabalized 1/2 metro
7. tues I was wrong
8. wed 80% w/c epson salt * lost 1 sumo
9. thurs full dose of clout 2 sumos about the size of golf balls
10. fri its gonna suck!

my system is pretty clean and I have checked everything and re-maintained everything
I am lost I think it might have to do with diet since the sumos are getting effected the most
none of my old petros or trophs have had any issues (knock on wood)
I dont know what to do?



as for the ikola that was holding she swallowed about a week later

10.Friday started every 8 hour metro dose
11.Sat still dosing 70% w/c lost 1 golf ball size Sumo and 1 more Ikola
12.Sun still dosing I even medicated the food
13.Mon still dosing the 1 golf ball size Sumo had shrunk a little bit but now 2 of the Ikolas are acting stupid - medicated food
14.Tue still dosing Sumo shrunk even more the 2 ikols looked still retarded
15.wed dosed this morning and medicated food fixing to do a w/c

I think I made it ! only limited casualties

3 sumos = a gazilion remain
3 ikola = 7 remain
