  • I can fill 100g in 15-20 min. Thomas' bottle can go full blast, 1 cubic ft of carbon in that bad boy.

    • Newb,

As long as the tanks come one at a time once an hour or there abouts mine will keep up with filling except the 300 will need like 1:15-1:30 to fill.. I am getting around 200gph fill rate.. I want to use the carbon for the one reason which is we dont know what the water out of the spigot looks like, and carbon will remove everything that is harmful to the fish. We can empty tanks QUICK, with the hoses we have, so the pythons are only used to take out the last of the water.

Here is how I would do it.
      1. Goto Geoff's apartment, drain the first 150 and fill several buckets to fill into the 45g tub. This you fill with about 20g.
Remove all the rocks from tank. Then remove all the fish. If there are any babies then they go into the 20g tank on the kitchen counter or a separate bucket. No needs for snacks for the adults while waiting.
Break down tank, move it to House, setup at the house. Move all the rocks over etc.. Geoff starts with the aquascaping at the house. When the scaping is done. I will start filling the tank up. Someone gets a call to bring the fish over once the tank is 50% done.

Once the tank is out of the house, team 2 starts on the second 150 just like the first one. A second tub for those fish etc.. Once it has been moved to the house and setup I will start filling the tank up etc.. Fish move proceed once I have the tank filled 50%.

Once everything is done on tank 1, team 1 returns to the house and starts the 3rd tank etc...

My job will be mainly to fill tanks with water and make sure that everything primes works etc before fish go back in to tank. MB will most likely be in charge of the animal health etc.. Geoff is going to be there to inspect the project and aquascaping because he knows better than anyone else how he wants the tanks setup etc..

Each team handles one tank at a time this way we dont have people all over the apartment.. mainly one set at the house and one set at the apartment.

Like Geoff and MB I want to see this go 10,000% smoothly and the least amount of stress to the fish.

            • Tank stand all the accessories for each. I would not want more than two tanks of fish swimming in tubs which is why I suggest the way I am doing it because if you end up with any problems and have to transfer fish from one tub to another etc.. its bad to be out. We will see how many trucks cars etc show and we can see how much we can move at a time.

I am thinking Geoff would be the only one who wants to rescape his tanks since he knows how they are going to look like.

One thing.. do not bring nets unless you know for a fact they have never seen snails.. because he would be pissed if he had snails coming into his new tanks.

                  NoooOOOOooooOOOoooo.....

We got nearly 1200 gallons to move tomorrow, carbon bottle or not, I dont want dollar waiting on a dime. We are going to be humping...

I think its better to move 2 tanks at a time than 1 at a time.

The primary concern is the fishes. I dont want them in buckets very long, and I got plenty of nets.

                      • Well, we're at the house now...the two 150s are moved, filling up right now. :)

Fish are still at the apartment in 2 large tubs with bubblers.

We got Thai, Randall, Jim, Thomas, Jesper, and me and Geoff. That's IT.

Thai moved both 150s all by himself! ) Go Thai!

                          • Woohoo! The 115's going in right now, and the 8ft 300g was just brought in.

Still need to transport the 300's fish, and put the Annectens bak in the 115.

The Ujijis and the Red Cheeks are doing wonderfully. And Jesper saw the T-position, so he's happy.
