Need Help Moving Tanks & Fish

Roughly looks like this I believe...

Friday Nov 6th - 300gallon - Need 1 to 2 people at my place only. This will be a move from Katy to Pasadena. Teardown and setup all one day. Depending on when this is complete I may move other tanks, but I dont want to plan on it at the moment. This tank is 10ft long, so hardest part really is teardown, and strapdown. Then drive from Katy to Pasadena, then unload and setup will be quick and easy. I only need help at my place mostly incase I decide to move another tank. So just plan on being at my place around 3pm if you would like to help.

I will have about 100lbs of Ecc-Complete for free on this day if you want it come and get it.

If anyone has a MAG-18 or MAG-24 I would be interesed in a trade to offer a brand new MAG-12 in exchange.

Friday Nov 13th - No Snails Move - 29,20L,20L,150,150,115,300 - Need 4-5 people all day if possible. I will take all offers of help this day.

Saturday Nov 14th - Whatever did not get moved on Friday after the Zoo Tour. So around 1pm meet my place till whenever. I will take all offers of help.

Sunday Nov 15th - Snails Move - Both 180's If all my tanks were moved on Friday, then we will move these tanks on Saturday after the tour. I will take all offers of help. Overflow day..

My move is only about 5 mintues from my Apartment to the Rental House.

My apartment complex is The Park at Farimont which are next to the HEB on Fairmont Parkway and Space Center.

The House is off Pansy and Vista just inside the beltway.

Geoff, we can do the Nov 61h trip by ourselves. We did it from Dallas to Katy by ourselves. I'm sure we can do it from Katy to Pasadena by ourselves. :)

Geoff I can be there on Friday the 6th as of right now. My truck has an 8 FT bed. If you are moving the acrylic tank I think you are from Katy it would extend out of the bed by two feet but I will offer the help if you want it. Just fill me in on the time and where to meet up, it would be easier for me to go straight to Katy (XXXX) but I will leave that up to you.

UPDATE: Getting all the Utilities turned on at the new place has been a hazzle because the old tennant never turned anything off and so they have to work with the landlord to confirm that the old is out, and the new is in. So the Utilities has messed up some of my plans.

New Schedule:

Fiday November 6th - Move Both 300's I only need help at my new place to setup the 10ft, then once that is complete, we will head back to my old place, teardown & move my 8ft 300 gallon and then set it up at the new place.

If you are interested in helpig me this day, PM me and I will give you my new address and what time to be there.

Friday November 13th - Both 150's I need help from 8am till about 3:30pm I got to leave to get Trinity at 4pm. I will be back in town around 8:30pm. If anyone wants to meet back again at this time, I will move my 115 gallon.

Saturday November 14th - After the Zoo Tour meet at my Old Place around 1:30pm. Move both 180's.

Any of these days you would be willing to help me, shoot a PM or post, and I will send you times and addresses.

i'm 30/70 on this one. but if you need my dollies i will let you use them.

If I got the help of others, shoot, all 9 tanks could be moved in a day.

when i moved i did it all in one day. my tanks that is. the other unimportant stuff like bed, furniture, tv, food, etc... had to wait till the next day. I rented the biggest uhaul truck they had. it was just three of us but then again i dont have huge tanks. that day we moved (2)125's (1)6ft 110 (3)75's (2)55's and (4) tanks under 40g.

it can be done. if you want to try and move all the tanks in one day. get a truck and set a date. i can help in the mornings till 1pm or all day if its on my off days.

Unlike my other moves, and I have moved several times even across state, this move has a lot of interruptions in it that I got to deal with.

Most of my tanks have 20-60 fish in them so that really takes a load of time netting and catching, getting them boxed up for transport and loading em up. Its the fish that is very time consuming.

I wanted to take the time and thank Jolley, Fshfrk, Gene_D, and Newb for all the help yesterday getting this 10ft 300 setup and going.

Unfortunately we did loose one Female Rainbow, but all the others are doing great.

There does appear to be a little ammonia in the tank, but its the Pasadena Water, it came from the tap source. I watch it close over the next week along with Nitrite.

Again thanks a million for the help and the tank is just awesome.
