well, pineapple is like a trade name. Same like moops. The real name of the fish is it's collection point.

What I mean is there are a number of fishes that have, "blue face and body with yellow on side."

Pineapples are tropheus moori "kasakalawe." Kasakalawe is the true collection point of this fish. They also go by mpulungu sometimes. Which is the city near by where they are exported.

Mpulungu, kalambo, katoto, and mbita island all kind of look the same with the yellow spot on the side but there are notice differences between these 4 fishes.

Kalambo is easy to tell, they are the ones with the red and white polka dot eyes..

Moops have the best color overall and the yellow patch is blothcy and blended in the body. Their dorsals are multicolored mostly.

Katoto always have yellow eyes, wine colored dorsals, anal fins, and at the point of connection of the pectoral to the body is also a wine color. Lots of times Katoto is sold as "raspberry"

I have a colony of Red Rainbow Kambwimba that I will be selling after November 8th.

                    It is 23 Wild Adults 4-5" and 5 F1's that are 1-2"

$8 each for the F1's and $20 each for the Adults.

Or if you take them all, it's $450

The colony was purchased from Blue Chip Aquatics in Spring 2007. They are eating NLS 1mm Cichlid Formula, and are aclimated to 7.8-8.2 pH. Nice colony.

                    Let me know...
