I understand the concern and I take the comment as your commitment and concern to your hobby. I am not offended in any way, in fact appreciate that someone actually cares. I don't want colony's destroyed by some yahoo's either.

But like I said, in this hobby or any thing in life, there is always someone who knows more than you or is better at what they do. So, I am always looking to learn something new from more experienced aquarists-it's just part of being an aquarist. I love to read from people with more experience than I. You can always tell the people who actually know vs. the people who think they know everything!!!!!!!!!

      I'm here to learn

My colony has arrived Took some of all of your advise and went with a common collected colony. Okay, Wife made me. Got Red Rainbow's. Acclimating now with slow drip line with air pump. Lights off. Will keep you updated, will take it slow and will not feed for a day or two like many recommended.

When I acclimate, I dont use the drip method because lots of times it can be more dangerous than just acclmating to temperature and then getting their ph within about 0.5 of you tank, just net them out and put them in.

Its always so exciting to get new fishes...I sometimes miss that feeling...
