This is a link to a current aquabid auction. I clicked on it expecting it to be a listing for Tropheus Moorii Lufubu Purple Rainbow. However I don't believe that is what these fish are. I can't remeber seeing any Tropheus with these colors, but I am a newb with Trophs. Anyone have any opinions about this based on the photograph?

Chris posted this picture a while back. I think it's not a "real" tropheus. Meaning they do not exist in the wild. I also think that they may not exist at all. Side marking looks like a chipimbi. But the over all purple color might be an alteration of the picture or a color dyed fish.I ate my fish that died.

Well I am not even close to being an expert on Tropheus but I knew that wasn't any known variant I had ever seen. You guys pretty much confirmed what I thought, just wanted to get the opinions of more experienced Troph keepers than myself120g - Tropheus Moorii Kambwimba

they were selling them on greater chicago cichlid assiociation to(classifides)about a month ago they had a sh!itload of bids on aquabid,but i agree that i've never seen any trophs like that before!Originally posted by Gene D View Postpetro crazy!!!
