I think mine is pretty easy to make..
1lb frozen unslated peas
1lb fresh whole shrimp
Bird Liquid Multi-Vitamin
Non-Flavored pure Gelatin
Blend the peas and shrimp together in a blender - Yummy!! Don't let mama see
Then put 1 tsp of multivitamin into the mix.
Then get a Pyrex 8 or 10" cake pan and mix the gelatin and mix together.
Put into the fridgerator...
After a day or so...cut and serve.
Does not last long, so I would keep in freezer for a while.
Some people put Cucumber and Zuchini in there, but I dont. You can also use spinach instead of peas, just make sure no salt added.
Its nasty stuff, but they love it.Last edited by geoff_tropheus; 12-01-2009, 03:13 PM.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand

Any retail Pet Store like Petco, Petsmart, and some Local stores would have it.
Even Walmart might have it.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand

I dont make it but a couple times a year. Mostly I make it when I first get wild fish in that are not acclimated to eating flakes or pellets yet.
I dont make it as routine for weekly staple treat. I just do it once in a while.
If your looking for something more stable, I would just stick to the freeze dried Krill/mysis or the frozen but just 1-2 times a week or less..or not at all.
In all honesty, I really think a good quality flake and pellet food has you covered. Its just more natural or cool to see them eat something differnt.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand

2/3 most type of vegetables (peas, carrots, romaine lettuce, etc.)
1/3 whole shrimp.
I add flakes and pellets also.
Top off with some seachem nourish to bind it a little.
I have added some crazy things before.......I'm not going to go into details.
Personally, I'm with geoff on this one. Flakes and pellets got you cover man.I ate my fish that died.

Haven't seen raw scallops.
But seen ghost shrimp being fed all the time.
There is a guy that owes a LFS here that feeds them to his tropheus. I told him not to but he disagrees. He thinks cause they don't get bloat right away it can't be the ghost shrimp. I wouldn't feed them to any fish I had.Last edited by myjohnson; 12-02-2009, 10:58 PM.I ate my fish that died.

I would not feed live Ghost Shrimp, but I guess it would work. I think there would be some risk envolved if you were over zealous about it.380G For Sale $3000 Acrylic tank & stand
