Had them 1.5 years I think, a trio moshi kabogo about 6 to 7". Male is the smallest out of the trio. They have spawned before but never see any of the females holding. I should tell you they are in the 135g tank with a large frontosa male and a pair of trews.

do you have any place to put the frontosa?i cant see the trews stopping the females from holding or spawning!
Peter has had some luck with Breeding his moshi in his 300 gallon with tons of fish in there. He claims the Emperor's really help to keep the agression down because they are the biggest fish. Who knows..
Those fry sure are cool, It will be very intersted to hear from you Brian as this F1 colony grows out together. Please keep us informed...

WHOA! I just saw this while doing a google search! WTF???? :)
Well, I got 30-40 fry growing out in my 55 gallon that are getting big quick. They are from 5 different batches. I have two males in my 300 gallon that are quite dominant. It's almost hard to say who the alpha is. They fight almost every day and turn a bright yellow when doing so (and when breeding). There are 20+ females in the tank with them that each take turns breeding with both males. The HUGE blue giant and 5 emperor cichlids don't really mess with anyone and the 32 monster moops help keep the tank looking busy. I don't know how it's working, but they are breeding really well and since this is my show tank (room divider) I wanted to keep it pretty full and lively.
Thanks for the update Brian! My fingers are crossed to see if my Longola will prove to be just as successful!
Peter I cannot wait to see these fry. I am so glad you are having this success...
