You have my WORD, that if I give these guys a new home they will NEVER be sold, traded or given away to anyone. I dont breed Tropheus and if they decided to make more babies, I'd keep them too.

Let F. Rex have the hybrids. They deserve a chance. Its not the fish's fault.

I would say cull them...but FRex is my brother and I know he could provide a good home for them. If you do give them away just let it be known who has them so that in 8-12months when more fry start showing up...things dont get shady. I say give them to Rex...good tank, lots of water changes, and good care.

How about let's feed you to the lions at the zoo and make a video, that sounds better.
No I'm not gonna use them as feeder!

All joking and BS aside using the hybrids as feeders is a sensible solution. As hobbyists we assume the responsibility of proper care for these fish. We all have a responsibilty to preserve these species as we recieved them. While I hope that a disaster like what happened in Lake Victoria never occurs with Lake Tanganyika the possibilty exists. In such an event it would be hobbyists who could and should be able to preserve pure strains of the various species. If hybrids are allowed to exist we endanger that ability.

I was being extreme, no more than usual.
Seriously though. Since these fish already exist, I see no harm in letting them live the rest of their life in captivity, if someone is willing to care for them. I've heard both sides of the coin. I'm just saying it's not the fish's fault they were born that way. This is from a pet owner's perspective, rather than a breeder's POV.
                            F. Rex, take great care of these much maligned fish if you get them.

I definately will. I know this makes alot of you guys kinda paranoid that somebody is going to get sold hybrid fish one day and mess up the breeding lines for everybody, but I am a man of my word. If these fish are given to me, I will NEVER sell, trade or give them away to ANYONE. They will live happily ever after in my 125g until they all die of very old age.
