Yeah, they are LED's. They are also air pumps. One air line is kinked, so that is why you don't see air coming out of it. They are cool at night, but I really dont like how "fine" the air is coming out of it. They do not interfere with any of the intakes. Again, the Wife thing. I think the air mechanism will fail soon anyway.

How soon? As soon as I determine what I want. I seeded the tank with substrate from another established tank, plus the Stability, I should be good to go with the bacteria. I do have some Dub's in a 42 hex that are doing great (to my surprise), so the idea of mixing without Hybridization is sounding really good to me. I have a Royal Pleco in there too? He too, is thriving? Yep, that's what I will do. Purple Rainbow's with Dub's. Thanks Geoff, awesome suggestion? I will PM Cesar today.

Question-should I put the Dub's in 180 now or introduce them with Purple Rainbows at same time? I guess, now that I think about it, may be a good idea to put Purple Rainbow's in 180 to quarantine, then add my Dub's later? What male to female ratio recommended on Purple Rainbow's? Can I put the Royal Pleco in this 180? I have had him a long time and don't want to get rid of him-he's cool!

Best to introduce at the same time in my eyes.. as long as the fish are the same time.
My Dubs owned the 70 before i was forced to drop my Kiku in there...
The Dubs (1+ smaller) still rule the roost, even after a month in there.
They are going to be going into the 110 at the same time and I am interested to see who gets to rule the roost then.

Your Royal Pleco would really appreciate some driftwood in that 180 when you transfer him. :) Do you have any in the 42 hex?

Yeah, the Hex has some driftwood. But, I never see the Royal Pleco on it? Never. He hides in a little clay cave during the day and at night he comes out to feed on blanched green zucchini. BTW, the Dubs like the Zucchini too. Now, I just peel the skin off, don't want to bloat dub's

Cesar sold all his labufu. I know Bluechip has some. Does anyone else know who may have 30-40 for sale? I like the suggestion from Geoff. Put my Dubs (qty 12) in 180 with Lubufu. Can the Royal Pleco transfer into the 180 as well? If so, I can free up the 42 hex to be used for something besides Troph's. or just shut her down?

Okay, I tried to buy locally. Thanks for all the help and contacts. Going with 40 Lubufu's and putting my 11 Dub's in 180 at same time. Thanks Geoff! 180 gal. water parameters are good. If I put the driftwod in the 180, will the Royal Pleco be okay in this tank? The pleco is about 5 inches and fat.

yes your pleco will be fine, unless your moving it from softer water,if its already conditioned to those harder parameters, you shouldnt have any issuse's,myabe a few nipped fins at first, but the trophs will evevtually get bored,i have various, types, and sizes in all my troph tanks...............mostly bn's,but a couple fancy's too..............you'll love the lufubus, and its tough to find nice ones, cant wait for pics..........

Yes, the pleco will be okay, just remember... the royal pleco needs wood as part of the diet so put a piece of driftwood. Good look with your Lufubus

Thanks! I love this forum!! Yeah, the Royal has been in my hard water for years! Have an existing piece of driftwood in 42 hex and also have another one boiling in water as we speak. Also bought a large stone from HAW the other day, boiled that one too! We have a big stock pot!
He only comes out when lights are out, but have always liked Plecos. Xtreme has a bunch of cool Plecos and Syn's. That's all I will say.

Took 1/2 day off from work today! Today was Purple Rainbow day!!! They were air cargo'd direct from cincinnati to IAH via Delta connection. Everything was on time. A little concerned about the cold Temps in Cincinnati and here, but they were heat packed well are all fine. Accclimated all 40 of them and some are even starting to eat the algae on the rocks!! I decieded to put the Dub's in as well. They were looking good when I got home and thought it be best to get then out off the small hex. Dub's are swimming right along with the rest of the gang!

Lights are off, no feeding and have Metro and Clout in the house-just in case!!

Will post pics when they settle in a bit more and color up!

Can't find the Royal Pleco I put in the tank a few nights back, but he found the zucchini!

Congrats man. The contrast between the Lufubu and the Dubs should look incredible. Can't wait to see pictures
