From what I know, Toby discovered this new petro a while back, maybe a year. Some friends of mine are saying a number of shipments are in Europe. Most fishes go there first always. When it was first collected the fish did not show to much color but as time passed the red really came out.

These pteros are actually rarer than the reds. I think the location of the reds have been discovered and leaked out. That's why so many have been coming in lately. Only Toby and a few know the collection point of these flame tails.

Closest info on location I got is Zambia. Might want to PM some guys from Denmark. I think there is two recent shipments that went there.

PM Arthur, he got some in his tanks.

Good like on finding them. I got dim on fry!
I ate my fish that died.

Yeah, I'm banned from trophs.com so I can't see any of that.

I get most my info form my lake side contacts and European friends when it comes to rare stuff like this.

You will be surprised....I got something planned.

But there is a lot of "buts" and "ifs".

I'm not disclosing names but there is a member on the box trying to get an import license and I know a like side exporter that might be able to buy some from Toby. B/c of the middle man cost will go up but it can be done.

I am new to "THE BOX" but I have faith that this might be able to be pulled off.
A few importers (not just one or two , after all more $$$ more buying power)
get together and collaborate on this deal ("MyJohnson" , of course with your lakeside buddy)
My questions is why is it that the fish always goes to Europe first (nothing against them ) ...
Is it Geography or $$$$ or both .... ?????
I know because of the collection point in the depth of the lake ,
this will make the cost of this fish go up... but who knows how much ?
Demand sometimes out weight the cost of getting these guys in.

Europeans will pay twice as much for a fish than here in the US.. that simple.

+1. Europeans made it to the lake before Americans did. They set up operations before Americans did. So the trade route is already in place. They got friends back home in Europe. So naturally, if some new or rare fish gets collected it will most likely going there first.

However, as of late the states been getting rare stuff too and I expect this to increase over time.
