  • Guess who's getting into Trophs!!!

So, tomorrow I am going to pick up a new 180g tank for my Fronts and I will have the 125g open for Trophs. I thought about doing Discus but I'm gonna wait because I'd rather have a 150g tall tank for that. Anyway, I wanted to hear some suggesstions as to what species I should choose. I want something that isnt TOO expensive. I am going to paint the background black and I'm probably gonna use grey rocks with PFS. I am partial to the red species but I dont want chimba (cuz my brother keeps em.) I would also like to keep a fish that has fairly valuable fry. Let me know what you guys think.

Glad to hear it. You will enjoy watching their interaction. As far as valuable fry go you would need somthing rare that few others have or something in high demand (Ilangi, Rainbows). Your brother can help you find what you are looking for. You might want to look at getting in on the New World group buy he is heading up for stock. Good luck, I am sure you will enjoy whatever you get.

the blue rainbows are freakin awesome. I forgot about them. Its gonna take me a little while to save up for filtration, flow, lighting, etc so i've got some time to do some research. I wanna do it right so I can maximize my chances of a healthy, productive colony.

                MOOPS!!!
I am planning a trip to Texas at the end of June. If you end up getting moops, and need more let me know and I'll bring some along. I have 4 females holding now and about 20 fry-juvies (all F1) swimming around.

I will be all over the state, but Houston is on my stopping list because I was hoping to meet some of you guys...maybe hit up a meeting if there's one to go to.. Is there one in that time frame? June 28-July 5 (ish). I am pretty chill about the dates and could tweek it either side of the ones listed.

No there is not an official meeting, but if you are in town I will make it official for you!

We can just go to 3-4 of the main houses then you are covered. Geoff, John, Jim and Peter's houses are like the zoo!

We talking mad collection of tropheus and petros.
