About a month ago, I moved some fry from one holding tank to another that was newly setup. For the first week in the tank, there were no issues, then I started to see wiggling in one place. For me this is a tell-tell, especially when it is only 10 fry sharing a 90 gallon tank. I tried clout, since that is the only med I prefer to use but it did not work, and before long fish started to "peel their scales" and have a very heavy slime coat build up.
I started thinking about parasites attacking the skin, and tried PraziPro. I hit the nail on the head with it. THe fish started looking better 48 hours after the first treatment. I ended up losing only 1 fry and everyone else were doing the things tropheus do about 4 days later, and I continued to treat for one whole week.
I wish I took pictures, especially since it was something I never encountered before. And I only had the meds due to some wild SA fish I bought last year that came in with worms.
Hope that helps someone.
