  • For MyJohnson - DSLR Tropheus Red Rainbow Pics

Since Thai has politley harassed me for weeks I am posting the best of the images I have been able to get with my Nikon D1X. Most of these are hot (overexposed) on the dorsal but decent images. I am trying to compensate for this but the lights over the tank are 4 x 65 watt actinic and daylight and produce a LOT of light. Most of them were taken at F3.2 1/160th Sec at ISO 800. Which is actualy about three shutter speeds above the what the onboard meter suggested for exposure. I am open to any suggestions to compensate for the overexposure. Right now my thinking is slower f stop and faster exposure, LMK.

Nikor 35-70mm 2.8 for most of them. I also tried my 300mm 2.8 and suprisingly got some decent shots (only two lenses I own BTW).

Pictures still looks really sharp man. Nice work.

What editing software are you using, if any?

I am using Photoshop 7 on my old laptop. I really need to upgrade. As far as the pictures I posted the only editing done to them was auto levels for color correction. Thanks to everyone for the compliments I will go buy a bigger hat tomorrow
