I have a new miracle supplement I am using in my Ilangi tank.
Most of my females have spit now which were about half of the colony and I see fry scattered throughout the rocks like ants on the trash can. Been watching 3 females actually brood their fry for the past week or so and witnessed two more new holds last night after doing a water change.
I don't plan on removing fry anytime soon till they are a bit larger so I can charge more for them or just not remove them at all.
Steve -- what I believe EK is referring to is the fact that unlike most people, EK drains (YES DRAINS IT to there is less than 2% water left) and then refills twice a week his tanks. Because of the high amount of fresh water introduced into the system constantly his fish breeds like rabbits... then again a 3/40 ratio doesnt hurt either

I have changed a few things I do and not sure which it is but they are breeding like rabbits!
The males have been putting the females to work and there has been non-stop breeding and over half my females were holding at one point. Now the males are putting the females on a cycle cause the other females are holding now.
I think husbandry has more effect on the breeding though.... when I had the Ulwiles the ratio was suppose to be like 1:3 and those guys pumped out a tremendous amount of fry for me. I think they paid for themselves twice in the time I had them and I was selling them for like $6ea.
