If one fish don't eat I would hit the whole group just to rule out it's not bloat. I rarely ever treat just one fish. Bloat can spread so the whole tank should be treated. I would treat for at least 5 days if I decide to treat and I could go 10 days if I have to. If I notice that metro is making them better but they are not 100% I will push treatment up to 10 days. I had a case one time where I had to treat metro for 10 days. Stop for two weeks then hit them with clout cause the metro just didn't do it. I prefer metro over clout cause clout is so strong. Clout can kill a weak fish.

I wouldn't be too worried. The fishes you guys are getting be in the states for a while so hopefully they are eating already. For me personally, my main concern with new WC fish is just to get them to eat. Once you done that it's all down hill.

Get them to eat and then the fun starts. ESTABLISHING the HIERARCY. After the blood bath then it's down hill.

Anytime you do not QT, you are putting them all at risk that you have.

There are plenty of cases were people did not QT and they survived no issues.

But..plenty of casses just like Donald's and my very first case of Bloat...brought in fishes, and within a week or 2 all the established fish are nearly dead or severly decimated.

It was the first time I ever spoke with Jessica about BLOAT. Once I started with CLOUT, the deaths ended. Since that time I have lost but maybe 1 fish to bloat since treating with CLOUT.

What happens if I combine all my fish from tank into the other tank then use the empty tank for quarantine? Would I experience issues with my current colonies?

Sorry, can you re-phrase the question?

If I understand you correctly, then you shouldn't have major problems, assuming filtration on both tanks is up to par.

I always notice a little change in the colony once I move a group. But if I don't add any new members and the tank size remains the same then the hierarchy falls into place faster and normally with no deaths. But if I are introduction someone new and don't force them to change the hierarchy there is going fighting for days, weeks, even months. Sometimes they don't stop until someone is dead.

I have 2 tanks right now (180 and 215g). I was thinking about putting my RR's into my 180g Bulu Pt tank and use my 215g to acclimate new fish. Would this work for the best for both collonies? I would plan to add my RR back to my 215g once my new fish settled down. I'm out of tank space!

Personally, I would move the RR and keep them with the BP for the time being. All fishes health and eating strong. It's a big tank and you got number so you are nothing to lose any.

I've seen 3 shipments of the same fish you are ordering and some looked really good but some didn't. I don't know how long your particular fish has been in the US. But if I had to guess, they are going to need the time to adjust and start eating manufactured food.

I had 4 newly imported WCs in my 125g tank before I sold them to the Panda. When I first got them, not one was eating. I got 3 to eat flakes and then pellets. Took me nearly 3 months to get the last one eating flakes. I first started with balls of hair algae (like the stuff John farms). Then I got it to eat nori seaweed. Then finally flakes. The stupid fish never even took pellets and I had it for 4 months. Hopefully, the ones you got coming in have been in the states for a while and already took a liking to flakes and/or pellets.

I'll work on moving fisih tomorrow night. The fish coming in have probably been in the states for a month or so. Not sure what they are eating, but I'll check on that.

                          They'll be fine!

215g is a good tank size for them.

Stuff that comes in for Mike, if it's alive after a month its chances of living increases like a 100 times!

ok...so I got a 75gallon tank up and running for the new guys coming. I filled it with 100% used water from my main tank, and put 2x Aquaclear 110's from my main tank as well. All media is good to go. I got a Koralia 4 on there for flow and a MarineLand LED light just cause I can!!! bare bottom and no rocks at all. This should be good enough huh???

Is that big enough for the monsters you getting?
