not yet, i just woke up so I'm gonna call here in a little bit and get prices and quanity. I think we are going to try to start with 30. If they have more, i'm sure i'll try to get more just in case I lose some to aggression, shock or stress. I literally feel like a drug addict...I was up all night itching and scratching. LOL. I cant wait to get this project under way.

We've decided to go with the black background, argonite substrate and some sort of dark grey rock (not the round river rocks though). I'm gonna start a journal as soon as I start setting the tank up.

I like black background too, but using it will give the fish color justice. The fish will likely stay dark. Just what I've noticed....

Isn't is Alamo Stone over in Missouri City that everyone goes to for quality aquarium rock?

Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? Never been to Alamo Stone, but NEPCO is also a great place to get rocks.

LOL. you liar...you're gonna get me in trouble!!

And for the record, I'm not stealing this project but lets be real, I'm the only one in the house that knows how to take care of these fish. I told her I'd teach her how to do proper water changes and show her how to feed them, etc....but my guess is, these guys will end up being my responsibility.

I don't think you will get the full coloration of the fish if you stick with the black background. I made that mistake with my Linangus and they were always dark.

Of course, and if everything dies it will be your fault.

                            Nice fish!

                            Love the plum face mask.

Don't do dark background, sand, and rocks.
I ate my fish that died.
